McMorrow campaign's next move is going to be, why is Hasan Piker not a physician?

If anything, the fact that Abdul El-Sayed has spent more of his career working on public health policy than he has on treating patients, makes him MORE qualified to be a Senator.

I was neutral, but all these attacks on AES’s fairly earned credentials pisses me off. AES had to work three times as hard in life to be considered half as good as his two opponents. Who will join me?

Abdul El-Sayed is that rare person who is a career politician who has never won a single election.

I can tell you that my family in Michigan doesn't give a damn about this faux 'scandal'. I can also tell you a fixation and fetishization of 'title's and degrees is exactly why many of them hate the Democratic party. @AbdulElSayed is a MD PhD Rhodes Scholar that successful ran Detroit's health department for years. Plus, this isn't new news at all, it was reported years ago. But it conveniently became a big deal today when a new poll showed him in the lead. Y'all, we need to get over ourselves. If he comes at you trying to do brain surgery, yeah, maybe its a thing. But if he's putting forward policy about the absolutely embarrassing mess that is health care is in this country, its hard to imagine anything that matters less.

NEW: Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed for years has publicly said he’s a physician — but there’s overwhelming evidence that he’s had no experience as a licensed medical doctor. (W/ @adamwren) politico.com/news/2026/05/1…

Sorry, but this is BS. I interviewed @AbdulElSayed months ago, and when going over his background with me, he immediately made it clear that he received an MD but declined to practice, instead pursuing a career in public health. There was no hiding / obfuscating on his part.

BREAKING: Bombshell new reporting shows that Abdul El-Sayed has misrepresented his medical credentials for years. He’s claimed to be a physician and talked about “patients,” but he never held a medical license, never did a residency, and never passed his boards.
