@Jacksmith2lph @tomboymichiru @Bakugotetass @katstroyed The tdmm stuff was really nice and it’s a shame their friendship fizzled. But Momo’s insecurities is not hyper original compared to the men. The guys iterate constantly how frustrated they are for X reason. Momo having it is original for a woman in this series, that’s about it.

@tomboymichiru @Bakugotetass @katstroyed That sounds nice and all but then I look over to the left and see the male characters having REAL conflict of racism, ego death, generational trauma. Even comparing something like how Kirishima’s self doubt is presented vs either of the girls is very WEAK when it didn’t have to.

But it comes down to the scope of 432ch, how that time was spent. Why the side character argument bothers me, man had 9k pages with all the ex material.

If anything I feel like that scene in retrospect was to give Midnight something before she died. I think the band as a whole is more wholly written than kamijirou but that’s just me.

Jirou dilemma of music vs heroism isn’t even a real challenge for her, bc her parents are supportive. What’s there to be engaged with?

@Jacksmith2lph He literally does nothing with the women? Tsuyu literally used to be one of the biggest potential characters and then reduced to Ochako’s hype team like. He cannot write them. Not sure why since this was not a problem in his past series but it’s clear to me.

@Jacksmith2lph Why can’t the female and male characters just be friends? Not everything has to be a romance. This is exactly why men stopped being friends with me or vice versa is school. Because they couldn’t handle their friends being pushy about dating or they couldn’t get boundaries.

This fucking “side character” defense is ass “there isn’t enough time” he’s the writer, he could’ve included women or slices of their life too.

@stripes_txt Exactly! The show at heart wasn't a romance show but moments that were given screen time out weight any fan service novel. Because hori made an emphasis to showcase kamijirou ( not calling it canon) over referencing anything with Momo and jirou

@Jacksmith2lph Kamijirou don’t have a ton of moments either. Aside from the “Stay Strong Chargebolt”, he laughing at his antics, and her getting flustered by not giving her room to breathe, I feel like it’s just as platonic. My post has nothing to do with “what did Hori have in mind”

Most of the material predates s5 because Hori who actually wrote the Manga decided to showcase kamijirou instead. Sending a ship to develop off screen would have been an easy canon to straight up and confirm

@stripes_txt She's trying to push her head canons as canon man. Hori wouldn't have gave another ship ( kamijirou) screen time if he had momojirou in mind. & in the final episode he could have straight up confirmed Momojirou after denki was "pushed" back. They try to claim " hints" as canon😭

Please ask more from a main series Shounen shoving the women and their relationship to the fucking LN that a sliver of the fanbase touch.
