Preparing a lecture on Plato's 'Allegory of the Cave.' It states that the philosopher longs to return to contemplating Truth and hastens to be away from the dealings of the world. It is much the same as a writer. I often long to return to my created world.

Anyone else get really excited when you think of an awesome piece of history/mythology for your world and it just feels a little more real?

Spent the last hour and a half writing descriptions and details of a new setting and it still feels incomplete. It's 'worldbuilding' not 'worldbuilt'.

Seasonal depression is hitting me hard this winter.
I have days where I spend most of it sleeping and have no energy or motivation. But I keep going.

Welp, officially sent off my first batch of queries today. Feeling strangely emotional about it. Even if the book goes nowhere, I'm still proud of myself for writing it AND scraping together a pretty decent query package.
