Today the drone team were mobilised to a fire involving a wind turbine in Trawden. The Turbine was well alight on our arrival, due to a stiff breeze our large drone was used to monitor the fire and offer situational awareness to the Incident Commander.

🚨Call out - 71 15/10/2025 @ 03.08am On Wednesday morning Lazonby and Penrith crews were mobilised to an outbuilding fire at Melkinthorpe. On arrival crews were met by a well established building fire which had almost completely destroyed the structure.

🚒 Between 6.30pm and 9.00pm tomorrow (01/10/25) several CFRS crews will be taking part in a training exercise at Lazonby Auction Mart. Do not be alarmed if you notice an increased number of service vehicles in the village and by the river during this time.
