Equilibrium Contest Thoughts: Pretty disappointing going from DP and EDP to this dungeon ngl. Dungeon wasn't bad, just really wasn't the same level. This dungeon was the perfect example that the content having a REQUIREMENT that you can solo flawless it will always hold back its potential. The mechs were way to simple to solve and execute. The health pool for harrow was kinda non-existent. Using the renegade keybind / grenade override was not something I was a huge fan of. That needs to pop up as an extra ability you can swap too when desired, not immediately replace a vital part of your kit. An attack that ramps in damage that you also cannot LOS isn't my favorite either, but I could just be picky. Also final encounter was just SUPER sluggish to get through. And the crashes were rough. Vibes were cool, but I also think the coolest aesthetic was the 2 - 3 transition which you were in for <5 minutes.

#139 all the way down to #43 insane what people would do for an emblem. Always want the easy way out instead of improving. First time playing with a team of this caliber. Proud on our first raid as a team & excited to improve! 🎉❤️

@xPunz I feel like we hit a sweet spot with raids like vow (as far as a 24 hour day one goes and if we don’t count the bugs) where the best teams could clear at a reasonable time and the dedicated ones could still get day one if they put in the time.

can we have a civil discussion about contest, because i’ve been playing destiny for 10 years now and i genuinely cannot understand how the majority of the community thinks your average joe should get a contest clear. it’s like playing football at a high school lvl and showing up to the fucking super bowl. if you can’t play at that level consistently for 4, 6, 10, or even 20+ hours i just don’t think it’s for you. i’ve realized after these last 2 races that long races are not how i wanna spend what free time i do have. that being said, i truly did enjoy the race even having a full work week and going into work after a 22hour raid. i do think that this isn’t the right path for the games success, there has to be a sweet spot of difficulty, skill, and a feeling of accomplishment. for me that feeling is being 1st, for others it may just be a clear. but i’ve never once thought the game needs to change because my team couldn’t clear. yes SE was a 2 day contest raid, but i felt like a complete failure because i wasn’t able to get it in 24 hours. that’s the old head destiny player in me, but to this day think only those 6 players should have that emblem they showed up and we didn’t. idk just some thoughts, love to hear what everyone else is thinking

Idc how anyone feels about Destiny, one thing that is undeniable is it is absolutely one of the most gorgeous games to exist and Bungie’s art team should be given their roses.

@Gladd I agree that they should be dps checks but it was annoying that every encounter was a boss. I don’t think a lot of people would mind nearly as much if there were a few non boss encounters

Another Gladd Elitist Take: Contest raids SHOULD be DPS checks They SHOULD be skulled enemies Many will enter... But only FEW should finish They should reward the best of the best Desert Perpetual showcased this in many ways. I give Bungie props for having balls.
