@TheCupitals @SaintNick2018 I don’t think anyone dislikes Sourdif particularly. It’s just complete outrage at the price to acquire him. He would have to be a top 6 talent for many many years to justify the outrageous price they paid

@KimJongBettman I’m just trying to defend Gretzky’s legacy. It is not respectful for Ovechkin to keep piling up empty net goals in the record chase. Just my opinion.

Here is how I would explain my distaste for Alex Ovechkin’s empty-net goal total. Wayne Gretzky had a career high six of them in 1983-84 among his 87 goals. Or 7% of his total. In 1988-89, he had six among 54 goals or 11% of his total. Ovechkin’s ENG are 24% of his total. Crazy!
