Losing my swede here. Is there any use in VAR if it only gives half-baked response to questions which should have black and white answers? I.e., was the ball out? Was he offside? Yes or no? How can there not be a definitive answer to either of those questions?

@JoePocklington7 Fair. Havertz can go too then! You’d have thought they could extend the goal-line tech across the whole of the byline pretty easily?

@JacobedSmith Bruno for a start. Ref can be excused for missing it and VAR should be giving it a red! More annoyed that there’s no cameras/tech in place to help with the confusion during the goal. Why not give VAR all the help possible?

@JoePocklington7 Excellent is a push but definitely a tricky game to ref with the amount of play acting going on (on both sides). Had there been some conclusive evidence then the goal would have been chalked off by VAR? Not sure what the fuss is all about…

@JacobedSmith Fine by me! Ref was excellent, he didn’t need VAR. That shambles has just created more headlines without making any decisions…get rid!

This European Super League, was to replace the champions League? It wasn’t about replacing Premier League. Or have I misunderstood?

@Jonnyanderson27 @PageB95 Yeah surely these clubs weren’t aware of the ramifications! Absolutely crazy if they actually want to break away from their domestic leagues too, no way any of their fans would stand for it.

@JacobedSmith @PageB95 Yeah I mean I don’t disagree. The reaction just seems well over the top. I assumed the clubs didn’t know that’s player wouldn’t be allowed to play international football or they clubs would be kicked out of domestic leagues.

@JacobedSmith @Jonnyanderson27 I think it would completely flop though imo. The whole reason the Champions League is special is because these teams only play each other now and then - do this and everyone will get bored immediately. Incredibly dumb I think.
