In all seriousness, my deepest most genuine wish for Emmanuel Clase is that he has to spent the rest of his 20s, 30s, and 40s in a prison cell thinking about what his life and career could have been if he hadn’t allegedly been such a greedy piece of pond scum.

Just like the first pitch being manipulated by Clase.
Gambling has been going on for years. People have said the fix has been in for years…

But it’s also generally bad for everyone that MLB, who directly employs baseball’s umpires, now has extraordinary financial incentive to fix outcomes within their sport.

@JacobsFieldRBW In addition to supplying funds, Clase is accused of providing advance notice of pitch types and speeds (prop bets) to bettors, often throwing fastballs in the dirt for balls or manipulating pitch speed to hit specific over/under numbers.
