US leagues reward their bottom teams with the best picks in the draft. American leagues give you a chance to be champion even if you finished outside the top 10.
In soccer, you finish in the bottom you’re booted out of the league. If you don’t finish number 1 you aren’t champion

The NBA is the only league where recruiting better talent is considered a negative thing. If Brunson recruited Bron, why would that be a bad thing? He just won the championship and he’d be showing that he’s not sitting on that one championship. Any other industry recruiting better talent would be looked at as a positive!
