@dbseymour Would be interesting to go to the school and see how many teachers are present on the teacher only days...

Parents I speak to are tired of teacher-only days being conveniently scheduled before a long weekend. Under existing regulations and terms in union contracts, teacher-only days are only allowed out of term time, unless authorised by the Minister. This is now being enforced.

This stunning resource is now available in our Curriculum & Assessment Support Drive. It was created by the talented Shauna Henderson using Te Mātaiaho and with our new Year 11 programmes in mind. Email admin@nzate.org.nz from your school email address to gain access.

Word of the day, should it be needed, is ‘apanthropy’ (18th century): a love of solitude, an aversion to other people, and the desire to be left alone.

Calling on my Pākeha countrymen and women to speak up and stand up for te reo. It's so much better when we do this together. Kia kaha te reo Māori. 🫶 #HeTaongaTeReo

Two Deputy Prime Ministers. This is the most childish, ego-driven, stupid outcome possible. Gonna be an incredibly funky 3 years. stuff.co.nz/national/polit…

Just got ‘lobbied’ by a #karearea for my Bird of the Century vote; spotted it 2m away from me standing under a totara in our suburban street. Having eyeballed me it took off, flying low up the street with its dinner clutched firmly below. That’ll be hard to beat!
