You don’t realize what you've been spoiled with. Pep Guardiola is not just a manager. He is the architect of modern football at City. And yet some of you act like we can just replace him with Enzo Maresca. That is one of the most naive things I have ever seen from this fanbase personally. The truth is nobody can recreate this level of dominance, control and tactical brilliance. After Pep, we won’t be lifting trebles every season. We will be fighting title races. And only then will people understand what we had and how impossibly rare it was.

You will never convince me to hate Pep. You'll never convince me to be Pep-out. I love this man. I love everything he's done for my football club. And I'm looking forward to having him next season, and the season after that, and the season after that, for as long as possible. If this really is the end of Bernardo Silva’s time at Manchester City, then it’s the closing chapter of one of the most selfless and important careers the club has ever had. Since arriving from Monaco, Bernardo hasn’t just been another player in Pep Guardiola’s system... he’s one of the players who defined the system. Over the years he’s gone from being a winger to someone who can basically plug any hole in the team whenever Pep needed it. His adaptability has been a huge part of why he’s been trusted so much. The numbers alone show how long he’s been at the centre of it all. Hundreds of appearances, plenty of goals, plenty of assists, and almost every major trophy you can think of along the way. However, statistics don’t really capture what Bernardo actually is for this team. His influence has never just been about goals or assists. What makes him special is the way he’s always put the team first. Right wing, central midfield, false nine, deeper midfield roles, even filling in defensively when needed... it’s never mattered for him. If Guardiola asks him to do a job, he just does it. That attitude is probably why Pep handed him the captain’s armband this season. It wasn’t just about seniority, it was recognition of years of sacrifice and consistency. Bernardo represents the mentality that built this era of Manchester City dominance. Right now the squad is in the midst of a rebuild. New players are coming in, new staff and new tactics. Bernardo has been one of the few players connecting those eras... someone who was there during the rise and is now here helping Manchester City progress to their next era of dominance. Even this season, he’s still throwing everything into it. The energy, the pressing, the intelligence on the ball... it’s all still there. If these really are his last months in a City shirt, he’s making sure he leaves the same way he’s played his entire time here... giving absolutely everything. If Bernardo does leave Manchester City in the summer, he’s earned the right to leave however he wants. Players like Bernardo don’t come around often. If he can add one more trophy before the curtain falls, that would feel like the perfect way to close the story. Thank you Bernardo 🩵
