And I'm really grateful to have a church that feels like home. They do an incredible job including, supporting, and educating all of its kids (mine included). I'm so grateful for our church and how their approach to kids has been so healing for me. We've been so very blessed!

They're good eggs, and I'm really proud of both them, and myself, because that's a lot of different religious practices to take in! I worked hard to build out a community that wasn't just socioeconomically or racially diverse but also religiously variable.

I am grateful to have cultivated a community so broad that my teens have been to all kinds of Christian services- Protestant, conservative, Swedish, Catholic, Japanese, Orthodox, Slavic, liberal, Black, Hispanic, etc. They're comfortable moving among diverse expressions.

If it's any support or comfort, know that you're not alone. I've been wrestling with "what was it all for?" I'm reminded, however, that I got to witness why our Country is so awesome! (Kind of a new feeling for Gen X at the time.) Patriotism backed by hope felt nice. The excitement of the time, and pride of our Flag being openly celebrated, were real. And something real never dies. We're down. But, bitches...we're never out. 🇺🇸💪😞🤟

I’m terribly ignorant of large sectors of pop music. Never even heard of Bad Bunny + don’t know any of the songs. The halftime show production design was epic. So different from the norm. Hearkens to one of the best American films ever, WEST SIDE STORY.

@taylorswift13 #3 Ressa's book should be required reading in every US high school history class. Fascinating account of her work in the Philippines, which goes before us because it's the tech co testing ground.

@WomackPoetry @megbasham Dude, his show was about how much he loves women, America, and Puerto Rico. A big chunk of it was a big old traditional wedding scene. I'm glad my kids watched! It was fun.

No one’s really pretending like inviting Bad Bunny to headline the Super Bowl halftime show isn’t a subversive act meant to demoralize America, right? Like we all know that’s what the show is now?
