While cleaning today, I came across an unopened card. It turned out to be a Christmas card from my Grandma. Inside was a wonderful message sending her love and a twenty dollar bill. I’m not sure how she sent it from heaven, but thinking of her again made me smile.

7 years today since buying my house. that makes this the second longest place I've ever lived, and yet it still feels like a temporary stop over. I miss that feeling of home, community, and belonging.

There is something to be said for feeling validated and heard. When someone takes the time to listen and hear what you're saying without judgement - it goes such a long way.

Just received an email from Cameo giving me the opportunity to opt out of their upcoming Mother’s Day email campaigns. I am lucky and still have my Mom with me and in my life - many aren’t and this forward thinking, empathetic gesture hit me as something small, yet very kind.

I'd heard the song hundreds of times, but today for no specific reason I found myself lost in the production - so clean, and powerful. The vocal performance poured over me and had me emotional, nodding in time and saying "sing it!". The tune? Al Green's "Let's Stay Together"

The feeling when you find out that the store you buy lotto at had a million dollar winner, followed by the feeling when you find out you are not it, followed by the feeling that sinks in to let you know you need to report to work as expected tomorrow morning. #feelings

The dreamer in my frustrates the doer in me. The dreamer never runs out of ideas to experiment with and implement. The doer in me is the one that struggles to find the time to get through the list of necessity and get to the fun stuff. Scheduling time to allow for space sees odd.

Had an amazing conversation with a couple that was #inspired by the project / award that I created with the Guelph Arts Council last year. More ways to help support the #arts and #creatives in the #community sounds like a great thing! Honoured to be thought of as a role model.

Spoke to a friend today. I hadn't talked with them in several months. It was a reminder just how important it is to have positive, supportive people in my life. My energy level lifted instantly. After their talk and positive words, I'm ready to take on the next task.

While #reading today I found a new book from @Wolfiesmom, "Enough Already". I read the sample - it flowed well and spoke to me on many levels. I plan on buying it. The universe is trying to tell me something with all the "you are enough" signs lately. I am grateful for that. 🥰

Two fish friends pass each other. One fish asks another fish "how's the water?" The other fish replies, "what the hell is water?". Currently reading "The Seven Laws of Enough" and hadn't heard this saying - but like many things - if we're not mindful we miss a lot on autopilot.

Nightmares about losing the ability to communicate / function. I think the work stress is well over the point of being "unhealthy".

I’ve been getting to the end of my daily checklist realizing I’ve skipped the most important items. The old adage “pay yourself first” works here. Otherwise we help everyone else and leave the tank too empty to do what WE want / need. In search of balance… with no time to spare.
