This pairs perfectly with the “treat others how you’d like to be treated” mindset. It works great until life teaches you reciprocity is rare. Years of one-sided sacrifice leaves so many “good people” grief-stricken having been sold a lie. Setting boundaries and having life goals isn’t selfish. And she’s the one left realizing she spent years shrinking herself just to keep everyone else comfortable.

I'm really disappointed by the lack of costumes in the Fatal Frame II 2026 Remake—a ton of PS2 originals were removed, my absolute favorite being the Gothic Lolita. That said, can we just take a moment to gag over the new Kimono and lace gloves? They're absolutely gorgeous!

Miku's plotline should have been given to Rei and Yuu—their story was already perfectly set up for it. Hisoka could then have been their daughter (or a distant descendant) conceived as a shadow-born child. All the pieces were already there; it feels like such a missed opportunity.

The first 8 costumes are from the PS2 version. The last 12 are from the Xbox Director's Cut. Sadly, the remake is only based on the PS2 version. Though I'm sure Koei Tecmo will sell the Xbox and Wii exclusive costumes as $20 DLC at some point in the future. Seeing as cosmetics is the only DLC these games seem to get.

Which is a shame considering that it was faithful to the original with the setting. However, it was clearly designed to attract normies to the IP given they didn't keep the designs from the Wii remake. Also the unnecessary changes to combat and that God awful 30fps performance.

@luwudco I've definitely thought about this too, but as someone running a VTuber project completely solo, you gotta know how to set boundaries for yourself and not pile even more onto an already insane workload.

Vtuber company idea: Talents have a real storyline progression plan written in advance and use streams to push the story. New outfits are directly related to major plot points. Comissioned art and merch releases all tie to stream events. Weekly 'episodes' tell an actual story.

@phisnom I believe it is in the original games as well, but it's either infrequent or has a more subtle ambiance. I don't remember it ever being as bad as it is in the FF2Remake. Definitely not featured in the battle OST, that's for sure. ☠️

are the high pitched ear ringing sounds in the Fatal Frame II Remake also thing in the rest of the series? i just finished my playthrough of the new game and the tinnitus is straight up unbearable, genuinely gave me a headache.

Story-wise, playing the Fatal Frame games in release order is the best way to go, as it provides the fullest understanding of the lore and emotional connections. When it comes to standalone experiences, Fatal Frame II, Fatal Frame IV, and the 3DS game (Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir) require little to no prior knowledge. Fatal Frame 1 and 2 tie into 3, while 1 and 3 connect more directly to 5. Games 1 through 3 form the original trilogy, and 4 marks the start of the more "modern" era that's carried forward today. That said, the combat in the Fatal Frame II remake (FF2R) is its own unique thing, while 4 and 5 added new mechanics but play closer to the traditional style of the originals.

Seems like Remothered 3 was announced and, as a fan of the 1°, I cannot deny I'm not sure how to feel about this. I could say I'm curious but, honestly, srs worried considering the mess Broken Porcelain was (even if is a guilty pleasure of mine). Odd to say im processing this? 😭

Criticism is very take-it-or-leave-it kind of thing, but when you're criticizing someone with the actual goal of them hypothetically changing, being sweet wins over more hearts than acting sour. A harsh delivery can turn 'help' into hostility—it's the difference between her considering it and her shutting down & resenting you. It's not an IQ test, just human nature. Nobody likes being talked down to. 🤷‍♀️

@LADYWlNDMASTER Seems like damage in this game is based off of proximity to the ghost rather than charging up shots like in the old game; the closer the better.
