I think they absolutely should remove exclusivity if possible
I don't think anyone truly cares about how rare a cosmetic is. Remember when Renegade Raider returned people were complaining for only one week before forgetting about it

Former Epic developer pitches how they would improve #Fortnite Crew 👑 @AlexMuirQA, a senior QA tester on Festival who was laid off by Epic last month, made a few posts and comments today discussing Fortnite Crew and some of the changes to the subscription that he'd personally suggested. Apparently, there have been a lot of ideas and conversations about how to make the service more valuable. Muir's pitch was to give subscribers a "token" for each month they subscribed to the service. These tokens could be spent on a rotating Shop that would include old Battle Pass Outfits and other items. Muir said that the idea didn't move up the chain for various reasons, including exclusivity concerns. 💭 How would you improve Fortnite Crew?

While I know renewing collab contracts is a difficult task sometimes, all of them should be renewed so no collab will be unavailable for longer than a year

Why isn't this a thing? I'm not subscribed anymore cause I'm simply not interested in most current Crew skins and don't ever use them. If I was able to get some older Crew and BP skins which I actually cared about, I would happily renew my subscription @EpicTofuChris @Fortnite

What’s so confusing about this is why they don’t just do this with a rotating shop of old crew cosmetics.
Sure bringing back battlepass stuff might be a big deal, but crew skins have always been stated as something that might come back and yet they just never have.

The ppl who care so much about exclusivity are the most annoying ppl in this community. Use it to flex and rudely call new players “new gens.” They were crying when Renegade Raider and Street Fighter returned to the shop. Wanna make money? Bring old CREW, hell old BP, skins back.
