@PhoenixTears45 I think that's part of why people are upset. Going to one of the richest clubs in the world on a free when they're known for just buying out the best players makes it feel especially bad.

@PhoenixTears45 That's just football be footballing tbf. There aren't much more Judas things you can do. Only thing I can think of that would be worse is him doing an Adebayor or Sol Campbell and switching to your direct rival.

@PhoenixTears45 There is no "what he should have done." Leaving your boyhood club will never go down well, and he'll just have to accept that leaving on a free to be a Galacticos will forever stain his legacy at Liverpool. That's just the choice he's made for his future.

@PhoenixTears45 Henry regrets it to this day. Trent ran down his contract and is going on a free, leaving Liverpool w/o a fullback and 0 money to reinvest. Its just very scummy behaviour from both him and Real Madrid. Which I expect from Madrid, but not from a Scouse who claims to love the club.
