There's no graceful way to put this: USA soldiers will hit Iranian soil this year. It will be a massacre. Iran is a goddamn brick wall. This is not a result of any economic, ethic, or social conviction of Americans (most Americans oppose it). Our politicians are cheap whores and have been since the 50s. Lobbyists control the nation. People moan about citizens united or 1971 or 9-11, but those were only continuations and sign-offs on already locked in deals. Without violent revolution, or extremely elegant, well timed subterfuge, I consider "boots on the ground" in Iran inevitable. (and lets not even get into inflation and LLMs). I consider very bleak,violent outcomes for myself inevitable too... unless I flee or achieve miracles. 🤷
