For one, I nipped that shit in the ass when my son was 4, to not make fun of people or call people names. My son's life is not the same as that boy's. His older sister has cerebral palsy and we are active in the special needs community, so my son by default is kind hearted, too kind hearted. If I were the kids dad, I would have stood firm in front of my son. I would directed everyone to address me, because I am the father, it might as well been me who said that at that time. I would have remained stoic and calm and I would have de-escalated the situation without abandoning my son, coming off like a beta-male and a genuine apology would have been given the following day.
