HELP! Can someone help me out here! I took the body shell off Bachmann Duck to remove the eye mechanism, but now for some reason it wouldn’t work!? He worked 2 seconds before. I tried putting the shell beck on but still nothing!

Hey all! I’m currently working on a Bertram custom but I’m trying to figure out if his cab roof is painted black or brown. The pictures of the prop are limited (and his merch is no help) but it looks to me that it is black. Does anyone know what is the actual color the prop used?
