@satsdats @BagsApp @Steve_Yegge I aren’t reading allat. But congrats or my condolences.

A prediction where I am ok with being wrong, but I think @BagsApp could lead the next wave of on-chain, or at least the model. $GAS / @Steve_Yegge is proving this model can work. For those who don't know how @BagsApp works, this is briefly how it went: $GAS functions as an asset with built in perpetual royalties. Trading generates fees, which are automatically distributed on-chain to Yegge. But Yegge didn't actually create this token, it was created by an anon shortly after Yegge released his tool, Gas Town. Yegge was later notified about his unclaimed royalties from the volume, which he ended up claiming ($68,000 at the time he claimed, total earnings now around $100,000 as volume has increased). I think this proves the bags' royalty model can onboard some good creators, end up funding projects organically, and this is exactly the vision we had for projects during the first AI season. The main issue for a lot of projects who have attempted this has been onboarding good creators, @believeapp died because they simply couldn't onboard enough creators, and when they did they managed to wreck the launch, further pushing devs away. @BagsApp provides an interesting angle where devs can claim their royalties, and further endorse the coin, or devote it and let it die, but that is the gamble on these coins. However, bags definitely has it's issues. One issue I can see after trading some of these is that it is a one man army. If @finnbags isn't online at the time, it delays the process of the claim, and hype can die off etc, it doesn't seem very fluid. Easy fix is duplicating the amount of Finn's there are at bags, have 3/4 interns working around the clock to make sure they are there within the first hour of launches. I think Bags caught a bad reputation in 2025, and many called for bags to be left in the 25, including myself, but I see this being a great opportunity for them being first movers on this. We talk a lot about the success stories of traders, like @remusofmars making $1M PNL on chain from $300, and that does indeed attract a lot of traders. But we also need good success stories from creators like @Steve_Yegge, good devs know other good devs, and they notice, and the cycle continues, more good projects, more things to bid, etc. Even if Bags itself doesn't work in the end I think this model has legs, and in this game in the trenches it's a matter of time before @Pumpfun or @bonkfun create a competitor.
