4 mile Chases, following on from a 4m 2f Midlands Grand National where only 5 of 16 finished At what point are races like this, which only exhaust horses physically & mentally, going to be binned

Controversial but I went to Cheltenham on Tuesday & really enjoyed it.
Didn’t see any hassle, didnt queue for drinks, short queue for chips, free water machine & doughnuts were nice.
Chatted to some really nice strangers abt racing/betting & train station was well organised.

@abracing0 @itvracing Always said this with ITV racing, like they just brush over it and to afraid to mention whenever a horse unfortunately passes away. Brush it under the carpet and move on, whereas other racing broadcasts don't. It honestly needs addressing because as we know, horses...

@DarranPearce For what it’s worth I’ve spoke with him this morning and he’s gutted, he’s received horrendous abuse over social media and is aware on reflection he should have pulled up however in the heat of the moment with the race at their mercy he carried on it’s an error of judgement

This ban was fully deserved. It was disgraceful that Charlie continued to complete the race and it was a terrible look for the hunter chases

A brilliant day for everyone involved in Peak Racing!🏇
The day started off with a long trip down to Fakenham where Uncle Al lined up and finished 2nd for us🥈
We then moved onto the evening at Southwell where Apache Eagle ran a promising race, going close and finishing 3rd🥉

@RSPCA_official Over 630 deaths of horses on the road since 2010. Many die accidentally in a field. Hundreds die of neglect and abuse. Which is certainly something that does not happen in horse racing. They are treated like the royalty they are

@JakeRuss1000 I mostly agree with the sentiment these horses are bred to run, but to put him at the gold cup at 12 over a distance he’s never looked like staying didn’t make sense especially in a gold cup.

Yesterday racing was hit with the unthinkable news of the legend that is Envoi Allen passing away on his last run.
And all I'm seeing is "he shouldn't be running in a Gold Cup at 12"

Firstly have some sympathy for all connected, he was loved...
