A lot of the pundits are completely missing the point about the game atmosphere question at Camp Randall. It isn't about old vs. young, tradition vs. energy, long time fans vs. new fans. Those are all gross misidentifications.

@akschaaf The irony is that the football team, band, spirit squad, Bucky, etc are all UW students. In an apparent effort to make the experience more appealing to student fans, they’ve relegated the performances of their fellow students to second-class status behind the obnoxious DJing.

@akschaaf I’d be fine catering slightly to students over anyone else, but there is no chance Saturday’s experience appealed to them either. The folks in the AD should spend some time on Langdon Street and State Street because what was played is not what the “kids” are listening to.
