If you want strength and full ROM then the exercises he listed would be better options

Athletes, stop doing these exercises for hip flexors.
Instead, train it through a full ROM:
- Cable knee drives
- Hip Flexor Sit-ups (off bench)
- Sprint

These are great for strengthening the hips at a full range of motion I call these hip flexor hovers Gotta get stronger hip if I’m going to continue to pull sumo
