The Cardinals took Jordan out of on field competition for 5 days in the middle of spring training because his mechanics were so out of whack…. What changed for Jordan in those 5 days? Did he suddenly remember “the feels” he experienced in his offseason training work? Nope, he just started holding the bat with his abductor pollicis (MT2) instead of his flexor pollicis longus (MT4). The swinging motion is built into our central nervous system and the muscles we use to swing are determined by the muscles holding the bat.
