An unbelievable run for Lithuanian coach Giedrius Zibenas: took over Rytas in 2020, won two LKL titles over Zalgiris, and now brings the BCL trophy to Vilnius – the club’s first European title since 2009.

European rookie Simas Lukosius was named BCL Finals MVP after dropping 23 points in the title game vs AEK Athens, including a perfect 5/5 from three in the 4th quarter to fuel Rytas’ comeback from down 18. Lukosius is under contract with Rytas for next year with a buyout clause included.
