@mbgreenman I don't know. I mean, the only reason this is having such a big blowup is because of the high profile nature of the player. If this were a backup, it wouldnt have even been a big deal. Ravens consulted Cowboy's team doctor on the physical, and longterm outlook wasnt great.

Ravens/Crosby thing is bad optics, but great bookkeeping for the Ravens. Crosby Trade (Voided): 2 First Round picks (2026, 2027), 4 Years, $115m Hendrickson Deal: 0 picks (FA signing), 4 Years, $112m Backing out looks bad, but saves 2 first rounders for an equivalent player.

@JamesCaughtIt I just read it. Looks like raiders doctors said he’s on track with recovery and cowboys doctor had reservations about his long term health. Hard to say if one team is at fault it just smells fishy from the ravens

@MalgeoTwitch From what I understand, the Ravens only backed out after consulting with Cowboy's team doctor Dr Daniel Cooper, who gave a less than stellar prognosis on Crosby's knee.

@JamesCaughtIt If anything there should have to be an official 3rd party that “checks” the reason for the back out. I think an NFL sponsored doctor needed to check Crosby and if they says he’s fine they the deal goes through. They shouldn’t be able to lie because something better came along

@ZmanMagnolia It just looks fishy. The Ravens offer up 2 First Rounders for an EDGE guy. (They've never offered even one 1st round pick in a trade before.) Then, when Hendrickson is starting to become more available, suddenly their original guy fails the physical. Looks like cold feet.

@jkj_lou I disagree. What the Ravens did may turn out to be unethical, but they didnt break any rules. Plenty of teams have backed out of trades after a player didnt pass a physical. This just happens to be the most high profile case. Still, fuck the Ravens, though.
