I still refuse to believe that I’m writing this post… My beautiful auntie Lorraine, Lola, suddenly passed away over the holidays. She was my second mum, especially since we moved to Liverpool. Where she literally is the Queen of everything she did. If you looked up kindness, generosity, charm, wit and beauty in the dictionary, Lola’s name pops up. She is the beacon in everyone’s life who’s lucky enough to know her. She took me to my first ever game at Anfield in 2005 and taught me more than anyone the ways of being a Red. Which was only right as she was there when Shankly addressed the masses at St George’s Hall, every Wembley trip, Istanbul, Athens and Paris. She’s truly seen it all and going to the match will never be the same without her. She also had an amazing ability to abuse referees, but in a really glamorous way. To know how unbelievably adored she is by everyone she met, shows the world how much of a gorgeous soul she is. She’d do anything for anyone but she wasn’t soft! A Scouse icon in every sense of the word. I’m so grateful for all the endless tales and memories from someone who lived life the way it should be lived. You and the family will never walk alone Lola, i promise you that. Eternal love ❤️🐦‍🔥 I love you more than life itself.

@JlpRoger I've seen on Facebook that Harbourfields in Monson Road has closed. That's so sad - I think the difficulty of accessing by car may have been a factor. I have great sympathy with all new retail businesses trying to make their way in the current climate.

@TunWellsFoodie @Kilkeerock @JlpRoger So sad, was a great chippy, vwey generous portions, agreeed location was maybe to blame...Marinos is my other fav, not been to many others so open to new establishments to try.

@Kilkeerock @JlpRoger Reviews were going downhill in the last month with people complaining about quality and missing items. They even ran out of potatoes. I don't think the traffic restriction was a major factor.
