@ElusiveSats @DonAlt Where? Why didn't you have access to school programs? That does certainly sound like a tough situation. I guess it's safe to say that homeschooling can certainly give you a highly varied set of circumstances and that it's not for everyone.

I always get these weird home school people in my comments Listen, if you're truly infinitely smarter than everyone around you, pay for the best educators in the world to tutor your children If you can't afford that, you're probably not smarter than everyone around you

@ElusiveSats @DonAlt Have you ever met a homeschooling parent? They are absurdly involved. Homeschooled kids can't get to the library? Lol.

@JamesDavisNH @DonAlt Additionally it reduces access to the library because you have to convince your parents to take you there every time. Flexibility is decreased on all metrics unless the parents are incredibly involved which most parents fail at.

@ElusiveSats @DonAlt ..in most places homeschooled students have total access to these resources. My kids participate in soccer, robotics, choir, etc, and it's no trouble at all. It sounds like you honestly don't know much about homeschooling so I won't continue to engage here.

@JamesDavisNH @DonAlt Except usually the kids have less flexibility. They often lose access to group sports, marching bad, theater and a host of other important and exciting activities that give life meaning when you’re young. Usually this flexibility is manifested as a strict curriculum.

@PessimistsArc My son had a grade 2 ankle sprain.. and is returning to activity in about 50% of the estimated time by following a Claude generated recovery plan than the outdated doctor’s orders. You can watch Claude comb medical journals in real time.. astounding stuff.

If you believe in a world where AI fundamentally changes things for the better, and you're out here FUDding Claude, I don't know what to tell you. Anthropic has put forth the most transformative AI technology by a mile, and this anti-woke/dei nonsense totally misses the point.
Elon Musk@elonmusk

Your AI hates Whites & Asians, especially Chinese, heterosexuals and men. This is misanthropic and evil. Fix it. Frankly, I don’t think there is anything you can do to escape the inevitable irony of Anthropic ending up being Misanthropic. You were doomed to this fate when you chose your name. The Name of the Wind.

I quit the carnivore diet about a year ago, and I've never looked or felt better. Eating a strict diet for 5+ years helped me overcome food addiction issues. Now I'm able to eat a variety of healthy, delicious foods in moderation. Feels good. 💪

Dogmatism comes for almost everyone eventually. Ramit knows why all TVs lose their value over 13 years and most American homes gain value over the same time frame… but for some reason is super dug in on the rent vs buy thing.
Ramit Sethi@ramit

If you bought a TV in 2012 for $500, of course you'd expect to sell it for less today It would be ridiculous to think someone would pay MORE 13 years later Now consider: Why do Americans expect to profit from selling their old houses? The answer is surprisingly complex
