@ThomasPhinney I don’t think I’ve been this amused by a beta’s quirks since the April 2004 version of Gmail that crashed if the message being sent contained any double spaces. (But keep at it, @affinitybyserif—I’m appreciative!)

A bit late to the party, but better than never! Variable font support in Affinity Publisher 2.5 beta. Still no support for complex or RTL writing systems (e.g. Arabic, Hebrew, Indic languages, Thai, etcetera).

IMO Target does not adequately stabilize their canned whipped cream. I don’t want to hear anyone talking bad about canned whipped cream in general either cause it tastes good and I know how to whip my own if I want that.

@CookingIssues @RanchoGordo I know you took some flak for this tweet, but it put Rancho Gordo on my radar, and we just had our first meal of their beans—Ayocote Negro with a fridge-clearing medley of onion, garlic, carrot, brussels sprout, and cod filet over totally the wrong kind of rice—and it was heaven.

Navy and Kidney beans are *fine* but are kinda trashcan beans compared the fantastic beans we can get these days from places like @RanchoGordo.Try their yellow eye (in pic after soak) and buckeye. Premium beans only cost a few bucks more per lb. and feed many. Great bang for buck
