This is a no-brainer. Submitting signatures for a referendum doesn’t automatically suspend a state law. They must first be verified to confirm enough valid ones were collected to qualify.
Jason Hancock@J_Hancock

Submitting signatures to force a referendum on a state law is not enough to suspend a new state law, a Cole County judge ruled Friday in a decision that means Missouri’s gerrymandered congressional map is in effect. #moleg #mogov missouriindependent.com/2026/03/27/jud…

New Favorite Announcement: For sometime, thanks to @JamesMNHarris, ‘Ben Silver–Charleston’ has been a favorite haberdashery/necktie choice. Now, I’m adding @HighCottonTies to my favorites list. I appreciate their attention to detail and their classic, conservative, bow tie patterns.

Say what you will about cradle Catholics but if I tweeted at Cardinal Dolan like this my mother would show up at my door with a band of angry Italian women armed with various kitchen tools with which to smack me.

Your Eminence, I’ve tried calling you and texting you multiple times since the February 9th hearing on antisemitism which you and Bishop Barron were absent from. I wished to discuss this with you privately. But again, unfortunately, you’ve provided zero response to me. However, today, you publicly made the post which I am replying to now. You have publicly stated that you agree with Bishop Barron’s recently issued statements wholeheartedly. Please answer this question: Why did you say to me in person on September 8th 2025, at 8:26 in the morning, “if they are going to remove you for your support of the Palestinians in Gaza, then they will try to remove me too”? I explained to you at this meeting, that I was being asked to resign from the commission by the White House at the behest of our colleague’s Paula White and Dan Patrick. You expressed that you were shocked I was asked to resign in August because of my Catholic position on Zionism, and outspoken support of innocent human life in Gaza. You fully supported me as indicated by your words. I had expressed to both you and Bishop Barron months before the February hearing that I was asked to be removed from this commission due to my Catholic beliefs and my support of the Palestinians in Gaza. Both of you said that would never happen. But it did. Can you please explain to me and to all Catholics the meaning of this apparent contradiction? If there is no contradiction between what you said to me in August and why I’m presently removed, then please explain. I believe I was removed from the religious liberty commission in February for the same reasons I was asked to resign in August.

The Missouri Supreme Court got it right. Redistricting is—and always has been—a political process entrusted to the legislature, not unelected judges. The Constitution sets a requirement, not a restriction. The 7–1 map is upheld, and common sense prevails. #MissouriFirst

BREAKING -- Missouri Supreme Court rules 4-3 that last year's mid-decade redistricting special session was legal. The ruling, on its face, appears to grant lawmakers broad authority to redraw map lines at their pleasure. Story tk #moleg #mogov

Nearly 25% of SNAP benefits go toward soda, chips, and snack cakes. My Nutritious SNAP Act stops taxpayer dollars from subsidizing junk food that can lead to chronic disease and empowers states to set their own nutrition standards. Common sense shouldn't be this controversial. reviewjournal.com/opinion/editor…

States should automatically lose federal funding when massive Medicaid or Medicare fraud is uncovered. For too long, they've treated Washington’s money as free cash and done nothing to stop the waste and abuse. @CMSGov @TheFGA
Katie Miller@KatieMiller

Medicaid fraud is estimated to be $100 BILLION. @DrOz: “There are 20 times more durable medical equipment providers in South Florida than McDonald's.” We are just scratching the surface of fraud in this country.

If the New York Times reported the war in 1944 as it’s reporting the war today. President Roosevelt continues to pursue a war for which he failed to prepare the United States. Though there have been some significant military achievements, especially in North Africa, U.S. forces remained bogged down in the Pacific and severely bloodied in strategically meaningless places like Tarawa and Guadalcanal. The Italian campaign has totally stalled, with an appalling loss of American life that will soon be surpassed by the utterly reckless and inevitably doomed invasion of France. Meanwhile, the innocent people of Japan and Germany continue to suffer. The damage to both their countries and the impact on the world economy is incalculable. The chances of a negotiated settlement appear more than ever remote. And all of this because the impressionable Roosevelt was duped into going to war by that master manipulator, Churchill.

Mental health improves when people live in reality. (See every effective therapy.) A biblical worldview and traditional conservatism delivers that. It see the world for what it actually is including the human potential for both villainy and glory. It provides an objective structure- limits, risks, responsibilities, meaning, Creator/created distinctions. It tells you the truth about who you are. Progressivism often begins by denying those things. And once you reject reality, you have to build a replacement reality out of ideology detached from who you really are. Living in a self-constructed universe is not great for mental health.
Ryan Burge 📊@ryanburge

Conservatives who attend church weekly are the least likely to have ever been diagnosed with a mental health condition. Liberals who have low attendance are the most likely to have a diagnosis.
