This is right. The more people see #assistedsuicide in practice, the more they realise that it is a dangerous and dark path for any civilised society to go down.
Assisted suicide is not the mark of a progressive society, but the very opposite.

Interesting move in Alberta, Canada where the province is introducing tighter restrictions on MAID (assisted dying). There are signs around the world of pushback against AD - the movement isn’t in one direction.

Thank you @PaulBrandITV for including my perspective as someone who does not support the assisted dying bill. I fear for those without care who feel they have no other choice. I don’t want a choice for myself if it means further suffering for others.

I'm still reflecting on what happened in the House of Lords earlier this week. The UK already had a very extreme abortion law. But now we've made it even more so. What does it say about our country that we treat the most vulnerable of all with such little regard?

Desperately sad and tragic that the House of Lords has tonight voted to allow women to abort their unborn babies right up to birth without any sanction😞😢 We believe this will harm women and unborn babies who have now lost their last remaining legal protections.

Really good to see this in @thetimes today. The paper's view is that the amendment to delete the provision in the Crime and Policing Bill that would decriminalise abortion is entirely sensible.
