The 'Nose' was looking beautiful last night! Devils nose in Hamlin Beach State Park is a prominent glacial bluff. It's name came from the reef that extends out into the water, turning the area into a notorious "graveyard of ships" during early commercial sailing eras.

I got a northern lights alert early this morning. Unfortunately, that didn't pan out, but there was a beautiful starry pre-dawn sky. And then... the sunrise happened.

Fishing charter boats on Lake Ontario this morning and yesterday afternoon. Brown Trout are highly accessible in relatively shallow water right now along the near-shoreline along with Steelhead (Rainbow Trout), Coho Salmon, and Chinook (King) Salmon.

This morning was one of the more dramatic sunrises I've seen in awhile. Just a tiny sliver of clearing along the horizon allowed the sun to peek through an otherwise totally overcast sky.

Sunset last night and the sunrise this morning. Overlooking Cranberry Pond, Lake Ontario and Braddock Bay. Hopefully a sign that nicer weather is on the way.

Lightning strike over Lake Ontario happening now...

Last night's storm was CRAZY! It was one for the books. I've never seen so many lightning strikes on my Lightning tracker app (I'm getting more lightning alerts as I write this). Unfortunately, I slept through most of it and just caught the tail end.

What a difference a day makes. Check out this sped-up timelapse footage of the 15,000 ton McKeil Cement Ship getting blown around like a toy boat on Lake Ontario compared to the calm sunrise yesterday morning. It's why there are so many ships lying on the bottom.
