@neLendirekt Fair to remind people, since they didn’t get an invite both him and Twistzz are eligible to make a move and play as a stand-in for another team at the major. So we might see some moves 👀
@MischiefCS2 I wonder if it would be better to create an average rank from the major ranking range and sort out the invites based on that? Would end up looking something like this.
Here are the updated 🌎 Americas VRS predictions on the race to IEM Cologne
Opportunities are running out for alot of teams, a miracle run at one of the final events could propel them to the major though. Still all on the line.
Asia & Europe also available.
Going into the final week of the major race, here are the Europe VRS predictions for IEM Cologne
Teams to watch:
🇨🇿SINNERS, 🇩🇪BIG, 🇫🇷3DMAX, 🇪🇺FaZe, 🇺🇦B8, 🇪🇸M8, 🇪🇺NiP, 🇸🇪Alliance
Will provide regular updates this week, Americas and Asia have also been released.
@MischiefCS2 I'm guessing Liquid don't become NA if they drop out 0-2 from both Rotterdam and Draculan and don't play a single HLTV game in France? Even at that point they would likely not have enough to get through as an Americas team right?
Here are the updated 🇪🇺 Europe predictions for the major race to IEM Cologne.
How has Faze's LAN spot and Liquids departure affected the rankings.
This is probably the first time EU rankings havent been super volatile. The Liquid effect on Americas🌎 realeased later today.
Updated🌎Americas VRS predictions on the race to the Cologne Major.
🇦🇷 9z , 🇧🇷 mibr, 🇧🇷 Sharks & 🇧🇷 Legacy almost guaranteed.
🇺🇸 Marsborne surge up after their 2nd place at Circuit & FERJEE spot
In 🇪🇺 Europe, Faze drop to 43%
Don't let FaZe providing more overtime heartbreak distract you from the fact poiii nearly broke the LAN regulation kill record
From memory it was donk with 38 at EPL20. poiii himself already had an online record with 39 vs Zero Tenacity for a while too
The slightly delayed update to the EU 🇪🇺 VRS race to get to the IEM Cologne Major
📅Teams' schedule having a significant impact on their chance to make the major.
Still chance for alot of change, particularly with LANW
🌎Americas later tonight!
@MischiefCS2@aizyesque They could have made 2 changes right, but would have lost the head to head points from FISSURE then likely the Krakow ones if they didnt replace NAF.
@aizyesque Liquid couldve made changes this winter and not lost any VRS points, as points arent held by individual players.
Players shouldnt be worth extra because of VRS points, as again they do not invidually hold points.
a reminder that liquid decided not to make any changes this winter, presumably for vrs points
or because it's too expensive (because of vrs points being too valuable)
great system
@MischiefCS2 Thing is, as much as you’re showing it’s possible through the model, I can’t picture how it could be possible in a practical sense. Hence why I asked for the names, because it makes no sense to me.
@JamesRFPS given Parken CC is a covered round robin group stage and all you need is 6 games. You could potentially get this done in one weekend and be ranked in Asia come monday.
For the 🇪🇺 EU orgs ranked 25th-65th who are unlikely to make the major. You can! Just via Asia...
Its possible via a potential oversight? in the model to transfer all of your points to a different region
EU Rank 65 would currently qualify via the Asia slots, for example Tricked
@MischiefCS2 How precise do you have to be? Like do you have an example of how a team could actually do this with example players used to be able to move the points from one roster to a completely different one?
There’s a discrepancy between how the points core works and how regions are assigned to teams.
Swapping region is pretty easy and if you’re precise you can transfer all a teams’ points to an entirely different roster to attend the major.
I raised this to valve 5 months ago and no changes were made so maybe they view it as permissible? I’d be surprised though
@MischiefCS2 out of interest. What would TDK’s chances be at the major if they attended one open LAN? They’re already 51st (1172) with no LAN wins on their points. Could be quite high with a couple of wins?
