Ed Miliband has just pledged £11.6 BILLION in overseas climate aid. Yes, £11.6 BILLION. While millions of British families are struggling with soaring energy bills, waiting weeks for a GP appointment, unable to find an NHS dentist and watching public services decline, Labour's Energy Secretary is promising to send billions abroad in the name of "global climate leadership." As if that wasn't enough, he's also announced another £79 million for clean energy projects in Africa and small island states. Meanwhile, back in Britain, Net Zero targets keep slipping, major energy projects are delayed, our grid is under increasing pressure and households are still footing the bill.

The control room engineers at the NESO balance Britain’s electricity supply and demand. If they don’t get it right, the lights go out and people die. This is, in part, why I have been approached by multiple whistleblowers from within NESO who are concerned that it is getting harder to keep the lights on in Britain. Few things can be more serious. As we saw in last year’s Iberian blackout, without electricity, people die. The allegations made to me are threefold. First, on 23 June, NESO failed to meet standards on constraints and reserves put in place to prevent blackouts. Second, the Corporate Affairs team interfered with operational decisions, prioritising NESO's reputation over security of supply. And third, operational decisions are being kept in ‘live documents’ with no audit trail, therefore preventing them from being accessed for Freedom of Information requests. It is undeniable that the system is becoming harder to balance. And yet, as of Monday, NESO launched an investigation into allegations of bad record-keeping and interference from their PR team, but it will not include whether control room operators think the system is being run securely. I understand that at an all-staff meeting yesterday, Fintan Slye, NESO’s Chief Executive, said “my” allegations were false. The problem is that these are not my allegations – they are the allegations of his own staff. If this remark was indeed said, it would be an extraordinary prejudgment of the whistleblowers’ concerns and would potentially deter other people from coming forward. Ed Miliband and his ministers, in a grotesque show of complacency, dismissed me as “scaremongering”. Ofgem, the regulator responsible for monitoring NESO, are seemingly fine taking a backseat role. As for NESO, their reaction has been to tell staff, who are so worried they have resorted to whistleblowing, that their concerns are false – rather than to seriously consider whether they have a problem. And who will be to blame if it all goes wrong? I fear in the court of public opinion it will be the control room operators, who do an enormous and increasingly difficult service for our country. That’s why I am fighting their corner now. They deserve to be listened to and to have their worries addressed. I can assure them I will not stop until that happens.

This is the man who bought British energy policy. He left school at fifteen with no qualifications. Became a New Age traveller living in vans. Then discovered the real con: green energy. Founded Ecotricity in 1996 with an undisclosed bank loan. Now worth £107 million. His secret? You pay for it. £123 million in government grants in one year. £3.55 million in City Hall contracts from Sadiq Khan. While he donated £6 million to Labour. His ex-wife claimed in court he gave away £5.4 million to the party to hide assets from her. The divorce settlement cost him £40 million thirty years after they split. He called it "character assassination." The character was already dead. But the real masterpiece is the pivot. After making his fortune on net zero hysteria, after taking £123 million in grants for "green energy," Dale Vince now says heat pumps were "mis-sold." Says net zero is "toxic." Says Ed Miliband's department should be broken up. Says the term "net zero" should be scrapped. Calls Miliband "unfit to be Chancellor" and says he lacks "grasp of basic value for money." This from a man whose own net zero airline collapsed in January 2026 before flying a single passenger. Ecojet. Liquidated. £20 million funding failed. Another green vanity project that left nothing but invoices. He wants to pull up the ladder now that he's rich. The ideology served its purpose. The grants cleared. The £6 million bought the access he claims he wasn't buying. Now the script changes. At his football club, Forest Green Rovers, he flies the Palestinian flag. Giant flag at Ecotricity HQ. He refuses to remove them. Compares Palestine to Ukraine. Says Israelis shouldn't feel threatened by the flag. This after his "freedom fighter" comments. After claiming Netanyahu "wants antisemitism to be a thing." After the Bondi Beach massacre comments linking terrorism to Israel. He is not a businessman. He is not an environmentalist. He is a political investor with returns that would embarrass a hedge fund. Donate £6 million. Receive £123 million. A 2,000% return dressed in hemp. Dale Vince is the proof that the green movement was never about the climate. It was about the money. The grants. The subsidies. The contracts. The ideology was the sales pitch. The hysteria was the business model. And now that the money is made, the mask slips. Heat pumps don't work. Net zero is toxic. The department he funded should be scrapped. Keep the Palestinian flag flying, Dale. Keep explaining why Hamas are freedom fighters. Keep cashing those cheques while the grid fails and the bills rise. This is one year. £123 million. Since 2020, Ecotricity has received £3.55 million in contracts from City Hall to supply power to Sadiq Khan's operations. Trafalgar Square. City Hall. The flagships. The maths: Donate £6 million. Receive £123 million plus £3.55 million. A 2,000% return in a single year. THE HAMAS INCIDENT October 7, 2023: Hamas murders, rapes, kidnaps Israelis. October 9, 2023: Two days later, Dale Vince goes on Times Radio. Asked about Hamas, he says: "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter." Angela Rayner, Labour Deputy Leader, calls his comments "appalling." Says he should "reflect" on them. A Tory minister demands Labour return the £6 million. Vince sues Richard Tice for defamation, claiming Tice falsely said he supported Hamas. Vince loses the case. The "freedom fighter" comment is real. It is on tape. It is indefensible. THE PALESTINIAN FLAGS At Forest Green Rovers, the football club Vince owns, the Palestinian flag flies. Giant flag at Ecotricity HQ in Stroud. He refuses to remove them despite planning complaints, sponsor withdrawals, and fan backlash. He compares Palestine to Ukraine. Says they have "all the same ingredients." Says Israelis shouldn't feel threatened by the flag. This from a man who called Hamas terrorists "freedom fighters." THE ANTISEMITISM CONTROVERSY December 2025: Following the Bondi Beach massacre, Vince claims the "biggest single cause" of antisemitism is "the genocide in Palestine." Claims Netanyahu "wants antisemitism to be a thing" and "acts to make it so." Kemi Badenoch calls it "morally repugnant." Jewish community leaders condemn him. Labour distances itself while keeping the £6 million. THE PIVOT After making £107 million on net zero hysteria, after taking £123 million in grants for "green energy," Dale Vince now attacks the very policies that built his empire: January 2026: Heat pumps were "mis-sold." They don't save money. Government claims are false. January 2026: His net zero airline, Ecojet, collapses before flying a single passenger. Liquidated. £20 million funding failed. June 2026: Net zero is "toxic." Ed Miliband's Department for Energy Security and Net Zero should be broken up. The term "net zero" should be scrapped. Miliband is "unfit to be Chancellor" and lacks "grasp of basic value for money." This from a man whose company took £123 million from that department in one year. This is corruption wearing a hemp shirt. This is the green grift exposed. And Labour is at the heart of it, taking his money, defending his comments, delivering his returns. The working class freeze. The grid fails. The bills rise. Dale Vince is in his hill fort. The con is complete.
