@bryan_sackett @OTMGUARD I agree that it’s fuckin’ stupid argument. I liked Sinners when it came out, but didn’t love it. I thought the pacing was a bit uneven and that the vampires were treated a little too much like zombies. But people were acting like I took crazy pills for not giving it a 9 or 10/10.

@bryan_sackett @OTMGUARD Sinners was beloved for the first few months of its release. I wouldn’t be surprised if Obsession gets the same treatment a year later with people calling into question what the hype was even about and calling it overrated.

@OTMGUARD If it has to be debated then sinners was clearly not better. It’s unanimous that obsession was a hit, sinners on the other hand is contested heavily as an overrated film. That is real proof that it’s not as great as its supporters claim. A great film is uncontested.

So I wouldn’t be surprised if she still only made like $50-65k a year before this movie came out, which is just a standard annual salary.

Average unknown actors don’t have a major gig every month, they get like 1-2 per year (if even that) and spent the rest of year working for scraps or are unemployed for months in a row.
