I'd say leave it ambiguous. A fresh start like in 2005, with the 16th Doctor, but there's nothing to prove they come after 15.

Opinion: If Doctor Who does come back, maybe they should do a timeskip next? Depending how the Xmas special goes, perhaps they could write off the Billie Piper Doctor as a gag and have them live a few unseen lives before we catch up with The 20th Doctor or something like that.

@TheCyberdevil No, it won’t. It’s just unfortunate that they’re still locked into a contract with BBC Studios and Bad Wolf which includes streaming The War Between but seems like that’s in contractual hell atm. They can’t even sell it to AMC+ because they’d be in breach 😩
