A colleague recently posted a photo of the clipboards he'd bought for his teachers to support them in observing more effectively & helping them to be more responsive to students. The cynics had a lot of fun with that. "Clipboards? Am I missing something?" one responded. The answer to that is: Yes, you most definitely are. teachlikeachampion.org/blog/working-m…

@ian_cushing Ian, I can't agree with you, I'm afraid. Word gaps, reading gaps, knowledge gaps, attainment gaps all provide me with a pretty handsome income.

@RobCaudwell @leaningshane I can confirm that I am, indeed, THE most. I'm afraid, the last one has too much colour. The research always says zero colour is best for cognitive load. A plain classroom is a happy classroom.

Serious, non satirical post for a minute. If some people who tweet in a faux academic style actually went and took a PhD, they'd probably find that a lot of the ideas they hold dear about education begin unravelling.

@JamesTeach99 @Janroweljmu I've been branial capacitifying for all I'm worth this morning & it's jolly hard work. Stuff for experts not novices! I'd recommend a lot of interleaving, with cups of coffee, walks in the sunshine & of course twitter, to reactivate existing schemata & help retrieve from storage.
