Now for more NEW SCOTLAND YARD: The Come Back (Broadcast: 29/04/1972). A retired bank manager is murdered in his bed in a seemingly motiveless killing. After a second murder is committed, John Kingdom, together with his journalist brother-in-law discovers a possible motive.

Now to start a new series for me... NEW SCOTLAND YARD: Point Of Impact (Broadcast: 22/04/1972). Violence flares up when a student protest meets a counter demonstration. A young protester is killed by a blow to the head. The nearest person to the body is a mounted police officer.

Watching FOLLOW ME... (Broadcast: 26/06/1977 - 07/08/1977). Tom is a young boy who loves ships & the promise of adventure they represent. When he & his father find themselves at the heart of a mystery surrounding a missing girl, it looks as if he will get the adventure he craves.

Now for another Minette Walters crime drama... THE SCULPTRESS (Broadcast: 24/02/1996 - 03/03/1996). Writer Rosalind Leigh is given a new subject - Olive Martin aka "the Sculptress", a woman who literally butchered her mother & sister on the kitchen floor of the family home.

Now for Minette Walters THE DARK ROOM (Broadcast: 02nd-03rd April 1999). A successful photographer wakes up from a coma following an attempted suicide. She has no memory of the events leading to it but then her fiance & best friend are found murdered she's the prime suspect.

Sad to just hear that Ben Keaton has passed away. I met him back in 2022 where he was in character as Father Purcell. Lovely man ❤️ RIP #BenKeaton

Now for another Minette Walters drama, THE ECHO (Broadcast: 29th - 30th December 1998). Mike Deacon, a tough, lone-wolf reporter discovers that things are not quite what they seem when a tramp is found dead in the garage of a beautiful woman. Stars Clive Owen & Joely Richardson.

Starting today with Minette Walters THE SCOLD'S BRIDLE (Broadcast: 10th - 11th April 1998). A woman is found brutally murdered in her bath with her wrists slashed and a medieval scold's bridle around her head. Starring Miranda Richardson, Bob Peck & Sián Phillips.

Now for the last episode of classic prison drama WITHIN THESE WALLS: Is There Anyone There? (Broadcast: 15/04/1978). I've enjoyed all 71 episodes of this series, it kept getting better as it went on - great characters, excellent writing & brilliant acting.

Now for more WITHIN THESE WALLS (Broadcast: 18/03/1978 - 08/04/1978). A plot for a breakout is discovered, an inmate is jailed for espionage, three new trainee officers join Stone Park & a woman begins her life sentence for killing her son's murderer in these classic episodes.

Now for more WITHIN THESE WALLS (Broadcast: 18/02/1978 - 11/03/1978). A prisoner due for release doesn't want to leave through fear of her sister, a new inmate arrives who will only talk through her teddy bear & the governor is accused of being too distant by one of the officers.

RIP #TomGeorgeson (1937-2026). What a lovely guy! Met him a few years ago at a signing event where we chatted & he was happy to have a photo. Star of one of the finest cop shows ever made, Between The Lines, aswell as countless films & TV shows. Your work will live on forever ❤️

Now for the final series of WITHIN THESE WALLS (Broadcast: 21/01/1978 - 11/02/1978). Another new governor arrives as somebody on the wing is mixing things to stir up trouble for personal amusement & an alcoholic killer is put in a cell with Mrs Weeks at Stone Park women's prison.

Now for more of WITHIN THESE WALLS (Broadcast: 04/12/1976 - 24/12/1976). Officer Dove gets attacked, an inmate becomes obsessed with Dr. Mayes, Mrs. Weeks returns to Stone Park & the prisoners and staff celebrate another Christmas in the concluding episodes of the fourth series.

Starting off WITHIN THESE WALLS (Broadcast: 09/10/1976 - 30/10/1976). The prison chef kills himself when rejected by one of the prisoner's he has become obsessed with & a notorious child killer finds god are just some of the issues facing the staff of Stone Park women's prison.

Now for WITHIN THESE WALLS (Broadcast: 11/09/1976 - 02/10/1976). The changes continue at Stone Park women's prison as the drug unit comes under scrutiny by the new governor, an officer is accused of theft & the staff take a look at the rules after being reprimanded by Forrester.
