Winners and losers over the last week. Rockingham County has some people with half an inch and others with half a foot!

We're back in the 60s for the first time since 2am Friday morning. That's an absurdly long <60 degree streak for May.

This is our first stretch of 3 days at 90°+ in May since 2019. We had a whopping 7 day stretch then, which is a record for May.

Seems like our heat wave will extend through Thursday now. Cold front a little delayed to arrive - sometime Thursday afternoon and evening. That allows temps to get into the upper 80s again. Rain chance delayed until Thursday afternoon / evening as well. Then linger for days (scattered).

It's really gotten bad how many meteorologists even well-known ones are now just using AI to make graphics. The public wants work you do and put effort into. People don't want yet another AI-written graphic or report; they want a human-written forecasts.

You may not want to hear it, but don't be surprised if it snows on Sunday. A round of midday snow showers are possible, dropping in from the northwest. They would last for a few hours. Not expecting big problems - but it's enough of a chance that you should know about it. Could drop a quick coating for some, mainly on the elevated surfaces and the grass. We're pros at it at this point, right? No need to freak.

This might be one of the weirdest weather maps you'll ever see. It highlights all the places that have had *less snow* than Charlotte, North Carolina this season. That includes large parts of the West. The snow drought there has been tremendous.
