1 year ago I had 0 followers. Today I have 32k followers + $13k/mo SaaS. Some call it luck. I call it using data to systematically beat the algorithm. Here's my X growth playbook:

I made a lot of mistakes in the past weeks I wasted days setting up my own VPS I wasted days switching to Supabase I learned a lesson I should optimize my shipping speed, not my tech stack

@JamesZackX @Robert_Watkin_ Yeah, I think you can for sure! Back in my day I was doing 2–3 videos per week, but things have changed a lot since then. Now you really need to focus on shorts, the subscribers mattered more before, but the game is different now.

Outside of software, have you ever made any money on the internet? I used to do YouTube which gave me a bit of pocket money when I was younger Was making around £20/month with my tutorial channel back in the day haha

Honestly im juggling a 9-5 so i dont have much time 😂 but i feel like i would enjoy it a lot cuz i like going deep into certain topics. Can probably do 1 vid per week, but that should be fine right? (Ive never done it before btw lol) I think as long as im willing to learn and continue with it (im in it for the long game) then i should be good right? Really appreciate your tips man <3

@JamesZackX @Robert_Watkin_ If you have the time, go for it, YT can be amazing to build an audience, and later you could offer apps or products to that audience. Just be consistent and enjoy the process, it compounds over time.

@adriamatz @Robert_Watkin_ Interesting! Tbh im considering going into youtube. Would you recommend it? How does it compare to indie hacking? (Granted, you can probably start youtube and later sell apps to your audience? 🤔)

For me indie hacking is much better long‑term. YouTube did work very similarly a few years ago though (not sure about now): lots of consistency, patience, and eventually the results came. I also had most of it very automated back then, but today you could probably automate almost everything with AI 😅

@nico_jeannen Bro you can request to be placed on the old pricing, then you'd have 500 requests for $20!

@adriamatz @Robert_Watkin_ Wooow thats crazy impressive lore hahaha Do you think you would consider getting back into it to make a living from it? Or do you think indie hacking is better?

I got it about 10 years ago. I had a tops channel and reached 1 million subs, but I never got the plaque because I received 3 copyright strikes and could never recover it. I did it as a hobby (even though I could have made a living from it) while also completing my computer science degree 😆

How long before we all loose our minds working 20x faster than before, running 10 agents in parallel and launching 5 projects per week? 💀

If my impressions of X don't improve in the coming weeks, I'll likely switch to autopilot mode: Just posting, no longer engaging, and focusing my energy on another acquisition channel.

26 days ago I started a 30-day challenge to build my first $1k SaaS, on top of a 9-5. Building wasn’t the hard part. Energy, distribution, and showing up every night and weekend was. Didn’t hit $1k (yet). But I shipped, charged money, launched publicly, and learned more than months of planning ever taught me. Still finishing. Still grateful I started.

@marclou Everyone says ship fast, but you wont get anywhere if you dont learn and pivot the strategy each time right? Its not only about shipping products

I made $10k+ from my Dev Job. I made $10k+ Freelancing. I made $10k+ selling an eBook. I made $10k+ selling a Course. I made $10k+ building a B2C SaaS. I made $10k+ selling a B2C SaaS. I made $10k+ from Ads. I made $10k+ from Sponsorships. I made $10k+ Consulting. Proof that you can make money in SO many ways. You don’t need a perfect idea. You need to start and not quit.

Day 25/30 of my $1k SaaS challenge. Recap so far: > validated a problem > built an MVP > made my 1st sale ever > launched on X & Reddit > got traffic, but no new sales Lesson: > doing all the "right" things does NOT guarantee the outcome you expect. We iterate and win 🫡

This advice is COMPLETE BS Example: if i dont quit playing chess against the world champion, i will NOT eventually win You can persist and forever fail if your strategy is bad Better advice: if you dont quit and keep learning, you'll probably win Learned this the hard way
