@A3N0D2O A constant reminder of the negatives in backing horses that get back. In its case, it could settle closer when it draws a gate but the last two rides on it have been poor. Had to track into it (with 52.5kgs) before they quickened knowing how slow they’d gone.

@James_Jordan Don’t know what’s going on with Houdini. Have been on him last couple of runs after he put some good runs together but he has hit a flat spot. The conditions seemed okay for him yesterday at Sandown but put in another very ordinary run.

@PeterLawrence18 Agree completely. And in the day and age of automation it’s not hard to apply different deductions to the same runner dependent on the time stamp on the bet.

It’s amazing that the industry, including media outlets etc, seemingly don’t understand that the major issue, BY FAR, with deductions is the taking a second, third, or fourth bite at the same cherry, when horses come out at different times. It’s the deductions upon deductions that is the main issue, and that is not fixed at all by having standardized deductions. Yes, they are a step in the right direction but they do not address the main issue.

@TonyShaw22 @zainprince_ It is actually about the amount of force behind it. To rest a hand on a players back isn’t a free kick, it requires sufficient force for it to be deemed. This example is in the side and lacks force.

Very dramatic but the goal line free kick Port v Adelaide is a free kick every day of the week. No eyes on ball stopping opp from contesting the ball either marking or spoiling(touching). Anywhere on ground a free kick every time.

Can you believe it? Crows shafted by the contentious Soligo non goal. And the Rachele shepherd on the goal line. And still find a way to win. Incredible
