@elonmusk First, LeMay fire bombed over 5,000 Japanese towns/cities before the two atomic bombs. The Japanese were trying to get an armistice and we wanted total surrender. Second, I have a Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha. None of them glow in the dark.
Pakistán e India se odian, viven en guerra, tienen una carrera de arsenal nuclear.
Sin embargo tienen la mejor ceremonia de apertura y cierre de frontera del mundo.
For all our new Japanese friends I have a question.
So in the US we are taught that the turning point in the pacific (mildly debated) is the battle of midway. Are you taught the same thing? Or is it more like “that is when we knew we may have made a mistake”. Just curious.
Imagine you:
>Born 1895
>Attend Yale
>Join Skull & Bones
>Steal Geronimo’s skull for ritual use in your secret society
>Fight in WW1, become trained as an Intelligence Officer
>After the war, VP of an investment bank
>You and your finance buddies bankroll the founding of the OSS (which later became the CIA)
> Your son becomes President of the United States of America
> Your grandson becomes President of the United States of America
Jesus Christ what an incarnation
Today's Texas Orphan Photo of the Day was sent in by Traces of Texas reader Steven Martin. It's a Kodachrome slide of a brother and sister posing by a highway sign on U.S. 80 in West Texas, a few miles west of where Interstates 10 and 20 meet today. The slide is dated September, 1958 and was likely taken at least a month earlier. Gomez Peak, which rises 7,093 feet above sea level, can be seen in the background. Steven got this slide off of EBAY. My guess is that these young 'uns are on vacation. I'll bet they were in a station wagon. It's a super cool snapshot!
So ... does anybody recognize these kids?
In 1946, he was arrested at age 21 for a youthful night of "making trouble" during a night of drinking at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.
Recognize him?
@smccoy3620@SeaSkyOutdoors@historydefined It was the first time we really have videos of the war like this, where the press was able to show how shitty war truly is.
@Rainmaker1973 Before any drone operator flys low over my property they have to get written permission and file a flight plan with all the local airports. I can mistake them for non migratory birds.
@timony001 You've never asked more than the appraisal for a house that you want to sell? Or used market value for a loan and not the state appraisal value?
