Today, we got to check out the action at the @EMNRSchoolNYC as they had their open gym in the Pelham Bay section of The Bronx. This year, the reigning @cssa_nyc state champions will be having a rebuild as they are under a new coach in @CoachJared_, who played high school 🏀 at @ctkroyals a decade ago & went on to play collegiate 🏀 at @liupostpioneers & @AdelphiMBB. In the last couple of seasons as the junior varsity coach for Earl Monroe, the squad went 90-11, including last season’s 36-1 campaign. This year, there’s a lot of new personnel on the squad, as there are plenty of juniors, including transfers from several schools, including the defending CHSAA B city & Catholic state champions, Sacred Heart in Yonkers & also Mount St. Michael. Also, this season, they plan on playing against schools in the NYSAIS & also some other schools in the tri-state area. As for the school, this will be their final year at their current location at the old Our Lady of Assumption School site on Parkview Avenue, as they will be moving to their brand-new location next September in the Mott Haven section of The Bronx on 153rd Street & Elton Avenue. Special thanks to @CoachJared_ & the rest of the staff at @EarlMonroe_BB for having us at their open gym. We look forward to seeing the squad this coming season.

Marc’s a good guy. @marclamonthill’s bookstore in Philly is AWESOME. I’ve been a long time supporter and he’s always given me good perspective in our talks. I’d love for that sit down on @JoeBudden’s show to be about the racist practice of gun control in America. It would be INSANE. Id also want my guy @QueenzFlip to DEFINITELY be there for pushback. He’s another good guy who has always given me his platform when others were afraid to. Both of these guys are not afraid of difficult conversations our communities need to have.
