Good morning Aussies. Take aways from the SA election. The results went mainly as I thought. SA has a peculiar lower house optional preference system that makes things tougher. 1. The One nation surge is not an opinion poll myth and to go from 2% primary last election to 21% is a massive real world result that has reshaped the australian political landscape. 2. LOWER HOUSE: Counting continues with one nation in strong contention in 3 seats Narungga, Hammond and Mackillop. The zero seats wankers need to wait until counting is finalised. 3. UPPER HOUSE: One Nation will pick up three seats and share the balance of power with the libs. Labor will need them to pass any legislation and the conservatives can keep the Labor government in check. Big result. 4. The Libs were decimated, finishing as low as 4th in at least 14 seats and their primary dropping to 18%. If these results can be achieved in a super retarded lefty state like SA. Imagine what will happen in the rest of Australia? To give them their due SA is governed by a reasonably competent and very popular premier, So this result is even more significant. Victoria is not and that will be the next battleground. So the knockers can eat this. Enjoy.
