Anyone facing issues can walk to Neumarkt but please let us know how it’s going.
We know they will be packed and hot.

@WeAreFreeLions Travel from Heuamrkt is a disgrace, hundreds of fans waiting from trams who aren’t stopping. Shambles.

England travel to the brilliant city of Cologne for our last group game.
England fans will likely head towards Heumarkt and the Alter Markt, as well as the river front from there.
The official fan zone for this city is also in Heumarkt. There is one another fan zone on the Messe/Deutz side of the river at Tanzbrunnen, which Slovenia fans are set to use. A free river crossing will be available.
England fans will also have use of a large public viewing area on the river front, not far from the Old Town, if you don’t have tickets for the game.

Fans with tickets will have access to free travel from 6am on matchday until 6pm the following day on the VRS/VRR networks. Meaning you can get from Dusseldorf to Cologne for free on regional services, for example.
From the city centre, there are a few options available when going to the ground.
From Heumarkt, you can get tram 1 which goes direct to RheinEnergieStadion/Cologne Stadium tram stop. You can also walk towards Neumarkt where trams are more frequent and jump on the same line.
You could also use the S-Bahn (12/19) from the Cologne Hauptbahnhof towards Mungersdorf Technologie Park and walk 25 mins to the stadium.
You could also take the S-Bahn (12/19) to Weiden West, which is at the end of the tram line 1, and then hop back a few stops on the tram to the stadium, which will be quieter than coming the other way.
Getting back after, fans will have access to the tram services at the RhineEnergieStadion stop, and there should be multiple services lined up to take you back to the city centre.
You could also use the S-Bahn route as above to ease pressure on the tram system.
We will know more about the egress process after Scotland’s visit on Wednesday 19th.

The stadium will open 3 hours before kick-off at 18:00. Cashless payments are preferred.
Alcohol is expected to be normal for this game, with no restrictions on sale and normal beer percentages available, and you should be able to drink in the stands.
Power banks are allowed.
Carry some form of valid ID.
You must get your ticket activated at the stadium by a steward at the security perimeter, it won’t work at the turnstile without this process.
Bags must be no bigger than A4 size.
Flags must be no bigger than 2x1.5m, any larger should have a fire certificate. More info on this to follow from the FA.
𝐓𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
Ticket centres at the stadium are located at the North East and South West, should you need any assistance.

The Fans’ Embassy team will be located at Kurt-Hackenburg Platz, not far from Heumarkt and Alter Markt.
We will be around in the afternoon of Monday 24th, and from 10am-5pm on the day of the game. ESTC staff will once again be with us for a couple of hours, we will confirm this in due course as to which day and time.
Issue 187 of the Free Lions will be available to collect.
