We are all deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Nigel Ellacott. Nigel was a true legend of pantomime, an icon who brought joy and laughter both on and off stage. Our thoughts are with Andrew, his family, and his friends. Rest in peace, Nigel.

Rest well Panto legend @IBYNigel! He & Peter were my 1st Uglies in 1995, to this day, never bettered in balancing their humour & villainy. IBY was often my sanctuary and a lengthy drink/chat post Panto Awards one year was a dream come true. RIP Nigel & love to @andrewryanactor

So sad to hear that Nigel Ellacott has passed away. He was our champion and custodian of all things pantomime; an expert, historian, supreme Sister, fabulous Dame, talented costume designer, wonderful writer and a true gentleman. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Off to say “tara” to another chum, gone too soon! The blessing of working in Theatre is meeting so many wonderful people, usually working with them so intensely for set periods. Bonds are strong. It’s a vast industry but a small community, & many “hellos” mean a lot of goodbyes.
