@JBishie That's cool too because it's a win for Xbox as well, it keeps the game around longer, especially in games like this, where once they delist it, good luck getting any of the DLC you may not have had a chance to get, etc. But it also keeps good games around longer.
English

@JBishie The issue really isn't Microsoft releasing games on other platforms tbh I dont really, and most people dont really care if they release older titles on say PlayStation. Day and date ya, it dilutes the brand. But you know what, if PlayStation players get to enjoy Say Forza 5

There’s been a lot of commentary about my views on Xbox, particularly around exclusivity, so I want to clarify where I’m coming from.
My formative years weren’t spent on Xbox Live. I’ve been a PC-first gamer since the 90s. Consoles were always part of the picture, but PC was home, and that never really changed.
In 2020, my PC could no longer be meaningfully upgraded, and a full rebuild wasn’t financially realistic. A Series X cost about the same as a mid-range GPU, so it became the most practical option.
At the time, exclusivity felt like the trade-off for joining a closed ecosystem. When Microsoft began releasing games elsewhere, it felt like a step backward.
Once their broader strategy became clearer, things started to make sense. The next Xbox isn’t a traditional console, it is moving toward a Windows-aligned, open platform. That reframed everything for me. The prospect of consolidating my PC and Xbox libraries into a single, more flexible ecosystem was too good to ignore.

Your controller is FAILING You...
Potentiometer sticks
• Traditional analog stick
• Uses physical contact to read movement
• Found in Xbox, DualSense, and many standard controllers
• Main weakness: wear over time, which can lead to stick drift
Hall Effect sticks
• Uses magnets and sensors
• No physical contact for position tracking
• Usually more resistant to drift
• Found in controllers like many 8BitDo and GameSir models
TMR magnetic sticks
• Magnetic, but more precise and power efficient
• Can detect smaller movements more accurately
• Usually seen as the next step above Hall Effect
• Found in the new Steam Controller and some newer premium controllers
• Found in controllers like Steam Controller & GameSir G7 Pro
Potentiometer = cheaper and common, but wears out quick for intense gamers
Hall Effect = magnetic and more drift resistant
TMR = magnetic, more precise, and more advanced
Which controller would you go with?

HOT TAKE🔥
A lot of PC gamers genuinely don’t care about PlayStation games coming to PC anymore
PlayStation does not optimize their games well with PC
And to top that, because PC already has an INSANE amount of options:
• Steam library backlog
• Mods
• Emulation
• Indie games
• MMOs
• Strategy games
• Early Access
• Multiplayer communities
• Xbox titles
• PC exclusives
PC gamers are not starving for content.
many PC gamers care more about:
• optimization
• modding
• frame rates
• ultrawide
• community servers
• price
than cinematic exclusives.
PC gaming’s biggest strength was never exclusives, It was freedom and variety.

@Nick_Marseil Still didn't answer my question, what are your hours in Hitman?
English

@Nick_Marseil "You’re acting like ‘PC gamers’ are one person with one opinion. IOI’s biggest community has been on PC for years because of Hitman, so saying 007 could skew heavily toward PC isn’t exactly crazy."
Also, what are your hours in Hitman out of curiosity?

English

@JamieOffline Thought you PC fanboys hated these movie 3rd person action adventure games with stealth elements? So why would the split be in your favor? By your standards this is your anathema lol
English

@Redmagex @TheCassiniGames Actually, beyond the cars, the game is a music festival something like Forza 1 through 3 did well and it fell off between 4 and 5
English

@JamieOffline @TheCassiniGames You know, the cars are the real focus of the game, right?
English

@Redmagex @TheCassiniGames Yes, I know but the overall presentation of the game over the years has been downgraded. You realize that right?

@V3nti1at0r @JBishie I don't see Microsoft ditching Steam. And yes it's not confirmed. Now I do see Helix being stuck in the Windows Store. That would make sense
English

@JamieOffline @JBishie Steam is massive only in USA and Europe.
20% share globally.
Tencent's WeGame is #1 with 23% share on PC.
It's true that Windows Store have never been a success.
Epic Store could become the main PC Store on Helix.
There is no proof of anything so far.
English

If Microsoft views SteamOS and the upcoming Steam Machine as genuine competitors and thinks it needs to protect the primacy of Xbox and Windows, then it’s possible to sketch a scenario where this kind of move makes sense.
Even so, it still sits closer to speculation than anything probable. Publishing on Steam broadens their reach on PC, and we’ve seen little to suggest they want to reduce their presence there.
The uncertainty comes from the leadership review of earlier plans. There’s a sense that they may want to step away from the level of openness previously discussed, which raises fair questions about how freely Project Helix will allow access to competing storefronts like Steam.
Ventilator@V3nti1at0r
"Microsoft ditching Steam rumor". Things i noticed in the past. - Only Epic Store was ever mentioned with Helix. - Epic wanted in on Helix back in 2025, and praised Xbox recently... - MS look at Steam OS as a threat to Windows 11. Could it be because of Steam Machine?

What XBOX genuinely can’t afford is the erosion of its core users’ loyalty. That’s why a renewed focus on exclusivity is best understood as a retention strategy. Shareholders aren’t measuring success by hardware shipments; they’re looking at engagement, user stickiness, and stable recurring revenue.
If the console loses relevance, Game Pass loses its strength as a platform proposition, first-party identity thins out, and margins get worse. In that environment, exclusivity operates as a form of margin defence. It rebuilds perceived value across the ecosystem, gives players a concrete reason to stay anchored to XBOX hardware and services, and reinforces the distinct identity that keeps the platform commercially viable over the long term.

@klobrille @JBishie @AaronPajak They’ve tried the Xbox/PC strategy since 2016 and it failed. There are absolutely no guarantees for success by going back to a failed strategy. They’re not gonna risk years of losses anymore. Profit margins have to be met, shareholders have to be kept happy.

@whoisdshawn23 @DragomirKhost The Civil War (1861–1865) arose from deep-seated tensions between the Northern and Southern states. The North had become increasingly industrial and commercial, while the South remained largely agricultural, relying heavily on enslaved African Americans to sustain its economy
English

@DragomirKhost Bruh I can’t make this shit up The Civil War was not about slavery and second when you bring up the holocaust to this day America still paying those people Black people never got no reparations for nothing. I’m starting to hate this new generation.
English

@whoisdshawn23 @DragomirKhost The American Civil War was primarily fought over the issue of slavery and the balance of power between federal and state governments, culminating in the secession of Southern states and a bloody conflict to preserve the Union.
