@DanielMasterton @AtTheRaces Pretty sure it’s written by AI, a lot of the time flat races over 2m+ it thinks it’s a hurdles race, Newcastle always says high draw a negative because it thinks it’s round a bend. Thinking that makes me feel better anyway!!

Bit harsh from @AtTheRaces calling the older sibling to Fashion's Fancy 'poor at 11f', Lyrical Style broke down and died on her only ever start.

@PtsColes 👍 think the fans have appreciated the desire to be harder to beat. I think if you did a similar thing for our previous manager the patterns would be nowhere near as structured. Good test tomorrow against a team that likes to park the bus.

@Jamie_E135 the staggering, the individual reliance all showed up consistently across those three regardless of formation. But you’re absolutely right that the tactical picture will keep developing and these are questions to watch rather than verdicts. Appreciate the context.

Jimmy Ball has transformed the mood at Torquay in two weeks. Belief back, results coming, Louis Dennis scoring twice off the bench after Ball spoke about getting him running forward aggressively. The confidence coaching is working. But what does his Torquay actually look like?🧵

@DarranPearce @OffTheLineBlog No Torquay fan can honestly say the style of play in the last two seasons has convinced. Relying on individuals to get us out of trouble and often far too easy to play against. It’s not been one poor spell and this recent set of results was possible at any stage. Huge shame

@OffTheLineBlog Does seem a bit hasty given it is just 1 poor spell. As has been pointed out to me he won manager of the month last month

The GP is your weak link here, they should be first port of call for results. As soon as the test centre knows your results, they should be automatically available for the GP to view electronically (unless you live somewhere with some completely ass backwards pathology system). As someone else has suggested, I'd get on to your local PALS team, let them know you're being given the runaround.

I had a cancer check in August. I never received any results. My GP said they didn't have results and I should call the test centre. The test centre doesn't give out results, and told me to phone outpatients. I phoned outpatients, and they passed me to the relative clinic, but none of the phone menu choices are about results. When I chose the most relevant option, I was forwarded to a secretary who's out of the office for the next week, and sent me back to the main outpatients number. I still don't have a result. This is the reality of "our NHS". I wish I could afford to go private.

@TheNorthernGam1 Would love @Race_iQ to add furlong by furlong stride length and cadence data. Great to have what we have at the moment compared to nothing pre 2024, but the current data lacks context and nuance.

I’ve had a few messages about stride data and people wanting to learn more which is great to see. I want to show an example of a top class horse and why he is effective at 10 and 12 furlongs at the highest level. Below is the graph of Calandagan’s stride data from the Champion Stakes. He is able to relax his stride to a low of 2.11 strides per second (sps) and keep it around 2.11 - 2.22 before quickening his stride to a max of 2.37sps. So he’s able to conserve energy with less strides most of the way before showing that electric turn of foot. This was off a solid pace as well which is important as when horses are going slower their stride will naturally have less strides per second so a very slow pace can sometimes give misleading stride data. This can also happen with quick starters. Some horses break fast and hit their peak sps early in a race and can’t sustain it for very long and have a gradual decrease in sps. This is why I like the graph @TPDZone use on the ATR site because it indicates where the stride quickens and slows as oppose to @Race_iQ on the Racing TV site which just shows low, max and average. It’s important to know where in the race the low and max where obtained. Maybe RaceiQ can look into that and add it 🤷🏼‍♂️ Anyway, this is what enables Calandagan to be effective over 10 and 12f at group 1 level

@Jamie_E135 @RacingTV Hi Jamie. Unfortunately there was a technical issue which compromised all of the tracking data that evening. It sadly means the data and sectionals are irretrievable. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused, but have identified the issue to prevent it from happening again

@racingoncourse Okay, but the 'bias' on Saturday produced winners from 3 separate parts of the track. Cicero's far side, Powerful Glory up the centre and the Haggas thing made all on the near side. That's a strange set of results to argue a track bias from.

Will, I think it needs looking into . It’s transient, producing mind boggling results: 25 round course SPS: 5/6,11/8,15/8 Straight: 5/1,200,100,5
Will Aitkenhead@willaitkenhead

@racingoncourse Do you not think that if winners come from ‘oscillating track positioning’ then by definition the surface is generally pretty consistent?
