Farming and sports. That’s about it!

We need small farms, not Big Ag.
Here’s the truth about U.S. Ag policy: we are paying bankers to crush family farms. We call bankers "farmers" and give them cash.
How by running up costs (via state funded monopolies) forcing a sale then “consolidating” them into mega-farms.
Food doesn’t get cheaper or safer, BECAUSE THEY DONT GROW FOOD. Factory farms make factory feed or factory stock and inputs.
In Iowa for example only 0.03% of farmland grows food you actually eat.
The rest? Fuel, animal feed, plastics, and crops for global commodity markets.
We pay for this, get sprayed with chemicals, and see zero benefit. Might as well hand the money directly to the richest firms and people in America? Like Bill Gates.
American small farms are being wiped out—systematically, on purpose. Only 9% of farmers are under 35.
Big Ag has created a fake image of the farmer: corporate partners, not family farms. Then they fund only these mega-farms and consolidate them into massive franchises.
Numbers don’t lie:
$1.5B spent lobbying Congress in 10 years
Top 5 companies made $150B profit
100,000 family farms gone
Who benefits? Not the farmers. They claim to protect heritage while killing rural life. Bigger farms = fewer customers = more control.
At least 25% of Iowa farmland is now owned by out-of-state investors who don’t care about small towns, Friday night football, or local communities. Land is bought for profit, not people.
Meanwhile, Iowa’s farmland is prime, yet we import 95% of our food. Young farmers can’t afford land. Rural communities are on life support.
This is deliberate, not accidental.
If we want food sovereignty, thriving family farms, and living rural communities, we need to wake up—and act—before it’s too late.

Agreed. I was able to start my own farm and it’s been a difficult 5 years. The only way I was able to get into farming is because my bosses encouraged me to find land to rent. They wanted me to have some skin in the game. But without being able to rent their equipment it would be damn near impossible.

@brim006 @DPalmiscno They built a track around their football field a handful of years ago. The ODR in Hillsboro sucks. lol
English

@DPalmiscno Dang okay thanks. I thought they had just built one but maybe it’s just an open air roof over their ODR ?

Greatest sandwich of all time?
Of course, it's Peanut Butter and Jelly.
It’s so good that NFL players eat over 80,000 per year.
But they don’t eat just any PB&J.
They eat Uncrustables.
Here’s the origin story of the flying saucer-shaped sandwich and what we can learn from it.
-
Len Kretchman cut the first Uncrustable using a drinking glass.
The key development was realizing they had to wrap the jelly in two layers of peanut butter to keep it from oozing out and saturating the bread.
-
Len and his partner began offering Uncrustables to local schools.
Four years later, they sold the concept to Smucker’s for $1M.
In 2024, over 78 million Uncrustables were sold.
-
My takeaway:
Keep it simple. Len didn’t spend a bunch of money creating the first Uncrustable.
Go with your gut: no studies were done. No committees were asked to evaluate the Uncrustable concept.
Don’t sell too early: Only $1 Million. That hurts.
-
Why do NFL players love Uncrustables so much?
1. Quick Carbs and Protein
2. Easy to digest
3. Still good when smashed
4. Convenient packaging
What team eats the most Uncrustables?
The Denver Broncos eat more than 700 per week!

Michigan lost its star goalie to a long-term injury on a dirty play, then won the next game 5-1 on the road without him.
No reason for any other NCAA hockey team to still be receiving No. 1 votes.
Michigan should be the unanimous No. 1 team in the country.

@itsrosesm I would have to install it first. Then yes I would do this

@Dust_Vikings What would you have more drive to do? If you have high football knowledge then grind on the NFL content. If you enjoy all major sports then don’t just stick to MN, you can create all sports content.
English

I feel like my content on TikTok is lacking the past few years.
My page is 98% Vikings related. I feel like I either need to expand to all Minnesota sports, or expand to all NFL teams.
Obviously, I’m not a fan of all MN teams so my input wouldn’t have much merit. But at the same time, there’s a lot of competition in the NFL market (content wise).
Those that follow me on there, what would you like to see from me?

@lady_valor_07 Phone cord, Zyn can with 2 emergency pouches. Few random dried out pens that don’t work, a note pad for the dried out pens, multiple shitty scissors that you don’t want to throw away, and for sure a bunch of Christmas gift cards that you always forget about and never use!

@SchlossmanGF Live in Hillsboro, almost bought tickets this morning. Hoping to make it tomorrow!
