@JanAhmedM@blthfc My advice as a seasoned relegation battle expert 😂:
Take it week by week. All these permutations and “what if” scenarios will do your nut in. You could literally win out or lose all 4 games. And same for every team down there. Strange results happen in these battles.
Leeds, West Ham and Forest have a combined 1 defeat in their last 15 games.
Genuinely what are we up against here. Relegation battle fighting against title challenging form.
@JanAhmedM@blthfc We’re playing decently, just more about everyone else picking up points.
Forest/Leeds keep winning and now Leeds don’t have the cup distraction.
Spurs picking up their first win could give them the boost they need.
It’s a battle at the bottom. Anything could happen.
@MichaelZdenek@blthfc Really? Aren't u guys playing well? I know for us we really struggled vs Wolves. Not confident at all against villa without xavi or solanke
Bergvall, in this last part of the seaon, needs to be used as a super sub.
From the start, he's too erratic and chaotic, not what we need in this last part of the season.
Lacks too much experience and composure.
But from the bench he's a very dangerous weapon.
Against Brighton he changed the game, his natural athleticism and power are very useful against tired legs.
His pressing when he came from the bench was incredible.
He will be one of the most important super subs in this last part of the season.
@JacoCats Jaco, I agree with you that he was good but also not every team is Brighton. Other games he presses the exact same and gets no reward. Brighton are very good but the qualities others bring outshine his one goof quality
@JanAhmedM Watch the game not from Twitter opinions.
He was after Simons our best player, his pressing and energy was huge, didn't allow Brighton to be comfortable.
He had some very good plays in the box and went close from scoring with a lone press.
He did a lot.
I'm rewatching the game against Brighton and I can confirm that Gallagher's performance went UNDER THE RADAR.
He was everywhere, dropping deep, pressing high, making runs into the box, he almost scored out of an isolated press on Vergbruggen.
I never joined the hate train on him, he's clearly a very good player and if we want to stay up he HAS to start every game.
@JacoCats Nope, bentamcur and bissouma behind simons is. In fact, he'd probably be the last pick. Apart from box crashing which albeit he's good at, he's useless
I mean that’s one of my worst Spurs supporting memories ever. But i’m gonna be the one non-doomer on the TL, there’s clearly enough to go and beat Wolves man. If you do that we keep ourselves well in it with 2 winnable home games left.
@Sp1thfc Would prefer vuskovic and Romero over him . Abuses pace a bit too much and is meh 1v1 . Plus his injury record in initial spurs days also doesn't look good
You Barca fans are gonna realise very quick with VDV. Took spurs fans a year but this guy is too reliant on his speed, gets caught out via reverse passes, meh box defender and his line breaking is crap.
He’s a left back. Not a centre back. Only reason you want him is for that high line
@Kish_P14 I acc just feel sorry for him ngl. In isolation he’s clearly not a bad player but with what we needed in January… what were the Club thinking?
@Neilo1986@NickHarden92 I don't even know what to say? Bergvall who was great for us last yr and is still young but has shown more in the games he's played than palhinha has. These 'kids' are just tired of watching shit week in week out
